Through AID, we will:

• Create a voice that will advocate for us by ensuring the continuation of access to health insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions.
• Ensure that Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security remain available to those who need it.
• Ensure that private disability insurers are stopped from wrongfully delaying or outright denying coverage when workers become disabled.
• Oppose discrimination against people facing challenges in the workplace.
• Use our collective buying power as a group to negotiate discounts with vendors and suppliers of goods and services needed by the disabled community, everything from discounts on grocery delivery and travel to reduced payments on medicine and medical devices.
• Encourage people to view physical and mental challenges without stigma.
• Provide both online and in-person opportunities for people facing these challenges to connect, share their stories, and support one another.
